1. Decisions on taking business in private: The Committee will decide whether to take item 4 in private, and whether equivalent items on future agendas should be taken in private. 2. Assisted Dying for Terminally Ill Adults (Scotland) Bill: The Committee will take evidence on the Bill at Stage 1 from— Eleanor Deeming, Legal Officer, Scottish Human Rights Commission; Dr Murray Earle, Lecturer in Medical Law, Mason Institute for Medicine, Life Sciences and the Law, University of Edinburgh; Dr Mary Neal, Reader in Law, Strathclyde University; Lynda Towers, Public Policy Committee Member, Law Society of Scotland; and then from— Dr Arun Chopra, Medical Director, Mental Welfare Commission for Scotland; Professor Colin McKay, Professor, Centre for Mental Health Practice, Policy and Law Research, Edinburgh Napier University; Dr Stephen Potts, Consultant in Liaison Psychiatry, NHS Lothian, representing the Royal College of Psychiatrists in Scotland. 3. Subordinate legislation: The Committee will consider the following negative instrument— National Health Service Superannuation and Pension Schemes (Miscellaneous Amendment) (Scotland) Regulations 2024 4. Assisted Dying for Terminally Ill Adults (Scotland) Bill: The Committee will consider the evidence it heard earlier under agenda item 2.
