Scottish Government priorities relevant to the Committee's remit: The Committee will take evidence from— Màiri McAllan, Cabinet Secretary for Transport, Net Zero and Just Transition, Phil Raines, Deputy Director, Domestic Climate Change, David Signorini, Director, Environment and Forestry, and Annabel Turpie, Director, Marine Directorate, Scottish Government; Alison Irvine, Chief Executive, Transport Scotland. 3. UK subordinate legislation: The Committee will take evidence on the Persistent Organic Pollutants (Amendment) Regulations 2023 (UK statutory instrument proposals) from— Màiri McAllan, Cabinet Secretary for Transport, Net Zero and Just Transition, and Dan Merckel, Chemicals Team Leader, Scottish Government. 4. UK subordinate legislation: The Committee will consider a proposal by the Scottish Government to consent to the UK Government legislating using the powers under the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 in relation to the following UK statutory instrument proposals— The Persistent Organic Pollutants (Amendment) Regulations 2023 5.
