UK subordinate legislation: The Committee will consider a proposal by the Scottish Government to consent to the UK Government legislating using the powers under the European Union Withdrawal Act in relation to the following UK statutory instrument proposal— The Civil Jurisdiction and Judgments (Saving Provision) Regulations 2023, and take evidence from— Siobhian Brown, Minister for Victims and Community Safety, Simon Stockwell, Head of Family Law Policy, Justice Directorate, and Stephanie Smith, Senior Policy Advisor, Courts and Tribunals, Justice Directorate, Scottish Government. 2. Regulation of Legal Services (Scotland) Bill: The Committee will take evidence on the Bill at Stage 1 from— Siobhian Brown, Minister for Victims and Community Safety, Jamie Wilhelm, Legal Services Regulation Reform Manager, Justice Directorate, and Leanna Maclarty, Solicitor, Legal Directorate, Scottish Government. 3. Regulation of Legal Services (Scotland) Bill (in private): The Committee will consider the evidence it heard under agenda item 2.
